Description:

Over the past decade there is an increase in the number of nurseries, primary and secondary schools offering yoga. Not only as an after-school club activity, but as an important part of the school the curriculum. More and more people are seeing first hand how yoga benefits children. Mental health professionals, medical doctors, neurologists, teachers and even the Government is beginning to recognise how yoga benefits children’s mental health and physical wellbeing.

Yoga helps children to:

  • Develop body awareness
  • Learn how to use their bodies in a healthy way
  • Manage stress through breathing, awareness, meditation and healthy movement
  • Build concentration
  • Increase their confidence and positive self-image
  • Feel part of a healthy, non-competitive group
  • Have an alternative to tuning out through constant attachment to electronic devices

My Children’s Yoga classes provides an opportunity to learn something that is non-competitive. It also teaches children to accept and cherish themselves as they are. It teaches to be present, concentrate and focus. Additionally, it also helps children develop into more confident, kind, responsible adults.

Parents may notice how yoga benefits their children, after regular yoga classes. However, the best judges are the child themselves. Children who have practiced yoga tell teachers and parents that they are able to concentrate better during the day, focus better on their activities, and pay attention to their tasks – all the finest endorsements.

Altogether, children’s yoga classes include the following:

  • Introduction and theme of the each class
  • Warm-up
  • Stories and games to keep it interesting for kids.
  • Standing sequences to build the strength and balance
  • Healthy breathing techniques; focus on connecting breath to movement
  • Guided meditation throughout visualisation, mandala art meditation
  • Finally, gentle stretching and relaxation at the end of the each class

Unique course for new mums and babies in Tunbridge Wells

Weekday classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays (choose the day and time you like)

Description:

A lovely combination of postnatal yoga for mums and gentle baby yoga movements and massage for babies.

Suitablle for 6 weeks post birth (8 weeks abdominal delivery)

  • Baby Yoga for digestion system, teething massage, baby reflexology and many more!
  • Gentle postpartum stretches for mums
  • Calming & Relaxation techniques for both mums & babies
  • Complimentary goodie bag and gradation at the end of the course
