Prenatal yoga is suitable from the 12th week of your pregnancy up until full term and it is designed to make you, expectant mother feel nurtured and cared for this period of profound changes. In fact, it is a great way to stay active and healthy for you and your baby.
Some women start Prenatal Yoga from 2nd trimester, others discover yoga in their last month of pregnancy. Besides, these friendly, strengthening, heart-opening Pregnancy yoga classes will help you feel great, no matter where you are on your journey.
In your prenatal yoga class, you can expect to:
- Practice some focused breathing techniques, which can help you manage your breath during labor and birth
- Do some gentle stretching
- Decrease lower back pain, nausea, headaches and shortness of breath and meet other mums
- Practice suitable postures for your pregnant body that can help strengthen muscles you’ll need during labor and delivery
- Improve sleep
- Reduce stress and anxiety
- A social benefit of course is that the classes are a great opportunity to meet other mums-to-be, while finding some time for yourself and the chance to put your phone on silent
*Just need your mat, blanket or cushion for more comfort
