Yoga and Wellbeing classes for children: Movement. Meditation.Kindness.Fun
Dedicated and intentional yoga and wellbeing practice for children in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
Yoga is beneficial to children of all ages in many ways. Moreover, children encounter emotional, social, and physical challenges or conflicts.
Regular yoga practice that includes breathing techniques, behavioural guidelines, and physical postures can be incredibly valuable for them. Children’s Yoga and Wellbeing classes helps children in their modern and busy life.
My yoga classes for children between 5 and 11 years old. Altogether, children will learn to focus on each pose by learning the correct body alignment. As well as that, they will learn how to focus on their bodies and how they function by guiding each limb or part of the body through the nuances of the pose.
What are the benefits of Yoga and Wellbeing classes for children?
Firstly, yoga helps children to relax, relieve stress, anxiety and sleep better. Yoga improves emotional regulation, increase empathy, and improve mood and affect.
Children learn to focus on the pose by learning correct body alignment, and in so doing, learn to focus on their bodies and how they function.
They learn how the breath can help them throughout the day, in any situation
It also helps children develop into more confident, kind, responsible adults.
My Children’s Yoga and Wellbeing classes provides an opportunity to learn something that is non-competitive. It also teaches kids to accept and cherish themselves as they are. It teaches kids to be present, and to concentrate and focus. Additionally, it also helps children develop into more confident, kind, responsible adults.
Therefore, parents may notice how yoga benefits their kids, after regular kids yoga classes. However, the best judges are the kids themselves. Children who have practiced yoga tell teachers and parents that they are able to concentrate better during the day, focus better on their activities, and pay attention to their tasks – all the finest endorsements.
Altogether, children’s yoga classes in the term include the following:
- Introduction and theme of the each class
- Warm-up
- Stories and games to keep it interesting for kids.
- Standing sequences to build the strength and balance
- Healthy breathing techniques; focus on connecting breath to movement.
- Guided meditation throughout visualisation, mandala art meditation
- Finally, gentle stretching and relaxation at the end of the each class
Every Children’s yoga session has a theme. Each session we will begin with discussion about the theme, following by a breathing exercise, game or activity using yoga poses and then relaxation at the end of the class.
