Yoga for Seniors and people with restricted and low mobility

Description:

Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that can be done sitting on a chair or standing on the ground while using the chair for support.  

With the support of a chair, the benefits of yoga become accessible to even more people, regardless of age, flexibility level, injuries, or mobility issues.

Who is Chair yoga for?

  • People with reduced levels of fitness, strength, mobility or flexibility
  • Seniors
  • People with chronic health issues or injuries
  • Pregnant women
  • Students of any age with knee, ankle, wrist, etc. issues
  • Overweight students
  • Patients recovering from surgery or chemotherapy

Equipment required:

A straight-backed, armless chair with no stability issues (provided at the hall), a yoga mat, water and an exercise strap or rope (or could be a belt from dressing gown or a tie)

Unique course for new mums and babies in Tunbridge Wells

Weekday classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays (choose the day and time you like)

Description:

A lovely combination of postnatal yoga for mums and gentle baby yoga movements and massage for babies.

Suitablle for 6 weeks post birth (8 weeks abdominal delivery)

  • Baby Yoga for digestion system, teething massage, baby reflexology and many more!
  • Gentle postpartum stretches for mums
  • Calming & Relaxation techniques for both mums & babies
  • Complimentary goodie bag and gradation at the end of the course
  • Meeting and connecting with other mums with little babies

When You Might Need Yoga

Physical

Once you begin practicing Chair yoga, you will start to feel a sense of ease and relaxation flow through your body. Over time, you will notice the tension that once overtook your muscles and joints begins to release, and basic tasks of daily life are once again possible.

Inner Peace

Mindfulness is an inherent part of Chair yoga. Focusing on your movement, your breathing, and how your body is reacting to the exercise creates a kind of moving meditation that promotes relaxation, reduces stress, improves mental clarity and general well-being.
